Crumbs is an initiative that considers fruitfulness at the edges of life and society, and its remit is supportive engagement with today’s church and its growing complexity.
It is motivated by the exchange between Jesus and a non-Jewish woman; having first told her his work wasn’t for people outside the Jewish nation, he then warmly affirmed her when she pointed out that “even the dogs get the crumbs that fall from the table”. [Matthew 15.27]
A small team co-ordinates and delivers a programme designed to make exploratory and experiential opportunities available to educators, counsellors, clergy, trainers, and pastoral care practitioners, to run alongside their given responsibilities and the training provided through the church.
